This Privacy Policy explains how SetForge ("we," "us," or "our"), operated at setforge.space, collects, uses, stores, and shares information about you when you use our platform ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

SetForge is operated by a sole proprietor based in Idaho, USA. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

This policy applies to:

• Coaches — gym owners and personal trainers who subscribe to and use SetForge
• Clients — individuals who access SetForge through an invitation from their Coach

If you are a Client, your Coach is also responsible for how they handle your data within the platform. Please review your Coach's own privacy practices in addition to this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Account information: Name, email address, and password when you register
• Profile information: Any additional profile details you choose to add
• Fitness and health-related data: Workout logs, set data (weights, reps, RPE), exercise history, and any health notes or limitations entered into the platform by you or your Coach
• Communications: Messages or feedback you send to us

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and interactions within the Service
• Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system, and referring URLs
• Session data: Authentication tokens and session identifiers stored in cookies or local storage

2.3 Information from Third Parties

• Stripe: When a Coach subscribes, Stripe collects and processes payment card information on our behalf. SetForge receives only limited non-sensitive billing data from Stripe (such as subscription status, last four digits of card, and billing period). We do not store full payment card numbers.
• Google OAuth: If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google as part of the authentication flow.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide, operate, and improve the Service
• Generate AI-assisted workout programs using the Anthropic Claude API (see Section 5)
• Process subscription payments and manage billing through Stripe
• Send transactional emails (account creation, password reset, billing notifications)
• Respond to support requests and communications
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Fitness and Health Data

SetForge collects fitness performance data including workout logs, exercise history, weights lifted, reps, RPE ratings, and any health notes or injury information entered into the platform. This data is considered sensitive and is handled with care.

We use this data solely to:

• Populate your workout history and progress tracking within the Service
• Enable Coaches to monitor and adjust client programs
• Feed into AI-generated program recommendations where applicable

We do not share fitness or health data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party for commercial purposes.

5. AI-Generated Content and the Anthropic Claude API

SetForge uses the Claude API, provided by Anthropic, PBC, to generate workout programs. When you or your Coach initiate an AI-generated program, relevant context (such as training goals, preferences, and program parameters) may be sent to Anthropic's API to produce the output.

Anthropic's use of data submitted via the API is governed by Anthropic's own privacy policy and API usage terms. SetForge does not send personally identifiable information such as your name or email to Anthropic. We send only the fitness planning context necessary to generate a program.

AI-generated outputs are stored in the Service under your account. See our AI-Generated Content Disclaimer for more information about the nature of these outputs.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with the following third-party providers as necessary to operate the Service:

7. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to:

• Maintain your authenticated session
• Store user preferences
• Support platform functionality

8. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the Service. If you cancel your subscription or delete your account:

• Your data will remain accessible for a short grace period following account deactivation
• After the grace period, your personal data will be deleted from our systems within a reasonable timeframe, typically within 90 days
• Certain records may be retained longer where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as billing records for tax compliance)

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and secure third-party infrastructure.
